Renewal Ministries, an Ann Arbor, Michigan-based nonprofit, has launched its new website, www.renewalministries.net, designed and developed by DesignHub. The site tells how Renewal Ministries helps foster renewal and evangelization in the Catholic Church. Site visitors learn about the organization’s TV and radio programs, youth outreach, support for Catholic missions and parishes, seminars and conferences, books, CDs, and DVDs.

DesignHub has created new marketing materials to help Dynamic Computer Corporation promote its innovative new Q-wrx solutions for IT regulatory and quality compliance at the 2015 SEWP Acquisition Training Summit, happening this week in Baltimore, Maryland.

SEWP stands for Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement. It is a multi-award Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), administered by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Over the past two decades, SEWP’s superior ease of use has made it the most popular purchasing vehicle for many government contracting officers, surpassing the GSA contract and others. Earlier this year, Dynamic was selected as a Prime Contractor for IT hardware and software products in SEWP V, NASA’s latest SEWP contract.

Q-wrx provides Dynamic’s customers – including who buy from the company through the SEWP V contract – with a custom package of proprietary IT configuration and asset management processes to help meet IT regulatory and quality demands.

DesignHub designed new display panels and helped select new promotional giveaways, themed to Q-wrx, for Dynamic’s exhibit at the SEWP Acquisition Training Summit. We also wrote and designed two colorful new sales collateral pieces: a Q-wrx overview and a case study describing a Dynamic customer’s successful use of their Q-wrx package.

Over the past couple of years, DesignHub has helped Dynamic develop many new marketing communications tools and initiatives. This has included their website, sales collateral, sales presentations, public relations, direct marketing, social media marketing, events marketing, and more. Earlier this year, we worked with Dynamic to help brainstorm and select the Q-wrx name. Then we designed the Q-wrx logo. We also advise Dynamic on their overall marketing strategy and media planning.

JJ’s Home Improvement of Ann Arbor has selected DesignHub to redesign their website. JJ’s has been remodeling kitchens, baths, and basements in Michigan homes for over a quarter of a century. The company also does interior and exterior work, additions, and replacement windows. We expect to launch JJ’s new website early in 2016. See JJ’s current website to learn more.

Exciting news! The “Little Victors, Big Victories” book we designed for the University of Michigan Health System’s Donor Relations team won a Gold award for Best Program in Donor Recognition/Stewardship from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in their 2015 “Pride of CASE” Midwest Region competition.

The book, while written and presented in the style of a young child’s storybook, points to the seriously remarkable results achieved every day by UMHS in children’s healthcare. If any of DesignHub’s recent work were to receive such recognition, we’re glad it was this.

Congrats mainly to the UMHS Donor Relations professionals who conceived of this original idea and drove it through, with our humble assistance, to success!

DesignHub was pleased and honored to help the Corner Health Center of Ypsilanti, one of our very favorite clients, with their fall 2015 fundraising appeal. We collaborated with the Corner on the concept and copywriting, then designed and produced the piece for mailing this past month. Let’s now hope the Corner has one of their best fundraising seasons ever!

For 35 years, the Corner has been guided by its mission: that all young people in the community should have access to good health care, regardless of their circumstances or ability to pay. Thanks in part to their donors’ support, the Corner can continue to provide essential health services – physical and mental, plus health education and support – to the young people in the community who need this care most. The Corner serves young people of ages 12 to 25, mainly from the Ypsilanti area.

In recent years, DesignHub has enjoyed working with the Corner on everything from their website and brochures to advertising and annual reports, as well as fundraising initiatives.

Check out the Corner. This truly is a valuable and valued community resource.

DesignHub has relaunched the website for the Student Advocacy Center of Michigan as a responsive site. This means that SAC’s new site automatically adapts and optimizes for the visitor’s access device (desktop/laptop, tablet, or smarty phone).

DesignHub originally designed and developed SAC’s website in 2013. Converting to a responsive design required some re-planning and re-programming of the site.

The Student Advocacy Center of Michigan works to assist our most vulnerable students stay in school, realize their rights to a quality public education, and experience success. The nonprofit organization provides education advocacy and support, education mentoring, dropout prevention, and family support with a focus on economically disadvantaged youth, youth in foster care or a homeless situation, students with mental illness, youth impacted by school discipline and zero tolerance, and youth facing barriers to enrolling in or attending school.

SAC was established in 1975 to focus on the educational experience of students, and to identify successful practices and policies as well as the barriers to effective service. Using a strengths-based approach, tSAC works in partnership with families, schools and community agencies to promote educational practices that result in success for students, as well as to challenge policies that may have a harmful impact on students and families.

Titania Software, a developer of cloud-based content delivery and dynamic publishing solutions, has launched its new website, designed and developed by DesignHub.

As of this writing, the new Titania site actually isn’t quite done. There’s some content still to come, and the site doesn’t yet fully demonstrate its most intriguing feature. We have built the site, not with a standard content management system such as WordPress, but rather with Titania’s own Titania Delivery product. That is: A visitor’s use of the site will itself serve as a live demonstration of Titania Delivery. There are just a few programming tweaks remaining to make this happen; they may be done by the time you read this.

Ypsilianti, Michigan-based Titania Software focuses on content delivery solutions that make it easy to find, personalize. and interact with content from any digital device.

DesignHub is developing new marketing materials for VolunteerHub, the web-based volunteer scheduling and management system from Carr Engineering of Dublin, Ohio.

We have already created a detailed new template for VolunteerHub proposals, primarily directed to the non-profit organizations that make up the bulk of the system’s users. We have also worked with Carr Engineering on a new VolunteerHub “quick guide” and a display banner for use at recent and upcoming marketing events.

Next up is an advertorial-style case study on a leading customer’s use of VolunteerHub; this will serve as the style guide for a series of case studies to follow. We are also in the earliest stages of discussion about redesigning the VolunteerHub website.

VolunteerHub is the world’s leading VMS platform. Service organizations have used the system to schedule and manage over 5 billion volunteer hours since 1996. Learn more here.

Rochester Welding Co., Inc. of Oxford, Michigan has selected DesignHub to design and develop their new website. Rochester Welding specializes in welding, fabrication, and machining for military applications. You can learn more at Rochester Welding’s current website, soon to be much improved.

Work on Rochester Welding’s new site will take place this fall, beginning in September. We are excited about the opportunity to help this fine company improve their online marketing.

Rochester Welding’s website project is supported, with consulting and financial assistance, by the Defense Manufacturing Assistance Program (DMAP) at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Research on Labor, Employment and the Economy (IRLEE).

Titania Software – the Ypsilanti, Michigan-based company that develops and provides cloud-based content publishing and delivery solutions – has selected DesignHub to design and develop their new website. The new site will replace this placeholder site, developed quickly by Titania Software’s own staff. Interestingly, we will use the client’s own Titania Delivery software to design and develop the new site. Point being: Titania’s new site will itself serve as an interactive demonstration of the company’s main content publishing and delivery tools. Quite a challenge – and fun! You should see the live results of our web work for Titania Software by early fall.

DesignHub has designed and developed the new VisitSaline.com site. The site promotes the city’s dining, shopping, arts, culture, and recreation opportunities – for visitors and residents alike. It features an events calendar, a directory of Saline businesses, and latest news of interest to Saline visitors. DesignHub collaborated with many Saline community stakeholders – including the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Saline, Saline Main Street, Saline Area Schools, Saline District Library, JenMotion Marketing, and MOEdesign – to help plan the site and compile its content. Check it out!

DesignHub has created a new responsive website for BioMedware, the thought-leading Ann Arbor-based company whose geospatial research and software are used to explore relationships between human health and the environment.

BioMedware’s new site launched last week. The site’s presentation automatically adapts to the user’s access device, whether it’s a desktop or laptop computer, a tablet, or a smart phone. We designed and developed BioMedware’s previous website several years ago – then re-thought the site significantly in the process of converting it to a responsive design.

BioMedware was founded in 1994. Since then the company’s scientists have performed NIH-, NCI-, NIAID- and NIEHS-funded research in biostatistics and spatial epidemiology. BioMedware also develops software for visualization, exploratory analysis, and modeling of time-dynamic geospatial data for the health and environmental sciences. Learn more.

DesignHub recently worked with Evangelical Homes of Michigan to develop a fresh approach to the organization’s annual spring fundraising appeal. We helped move the mailing from the somewhat brochure-like feel of the past, to a more personalized letter with several enclosures. All pieces were warmly keyed to the Mother’s Day season. The effect was to be both compellingly informative and emotionally evocative. EHM, which operates assisted living and retirement communities throughout Southeastern Michigan, has sought to increase donations to its “Safe at Home” Charitable Initiative. Recent word from EHM is that returns from this year’s spring appeal have already exceeded last year’s, and that many contributions have come from first-time donors, expanding the organization’s donor base. DesignHub proposed the strategy and creative concept for the appeal, advised on mailing lists and methods, and wrote and designed the mailing pieces.

Two school years ago, DesignHub began working with Milan Area Schools to help the district promote their Schools of Choice offerings to area families. Now, for the third straight school year, we’re helping MAS again. This year’s campaign includes targeted mailings to households with children of pre-primary and elementary school age, and other mailings to households with children of middle and high school age. We’ve also designed an MAS banner at Briarwood Mall. And we’ve produced MAS ads to appear on the sides of Ann Arbor Transportation Authority buses as they drive all around the core of Washtenaw County this summer. All Schools of Choice promotions build on the theme of “Proud Big Red” – a rallying cry for families loyal to Milan Area Schools.

Huron Valley Financial, a residential mortgage provider with offices in nine Michigan cities, has selected DesignHub to develop a new advertising campaign for the company. We are hard at work on a series of “story”-style ads that exemplify how HVF’s custom loan programs benefit homeowners in varying circumstances. HVF’s special loans for military veterans, rural homeowners, and doctors, among others, will be highlighted. Along the way, DesignHub is helping HVF refine their logo design.

DesignHub is again this year providing the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) with a coordinated set of marketing materials for the CAR Management Briefing Seminars (MBS), to be held on August 3-6, 2015 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Traverse City, Michigan. This year’s MBS event is the 50th annual. Its theme: “Competition Rules!”

CAR has selected DesignHub to develop the signature graphics to appear in multiple media for promoting the MBS 2015 event. We will also produce the event’s brochures, mailings, ads for print and online, conference signage, presentation templates, and more.

The CAR Management Briefing Seminars are widely recognized as the automotive industry’s premier executive conference. This year up to 1,000 or more industry leaders are expected to gather at MBS to share strategies and insights and attend educational sessions on topics of urgent concern to global automakers and automotive suppliers.

DesignHub has helped CAR promote MBS in many years over the past two decades.

DesignHub has been pleased and honored to develop the new website and brochure for Saline Area Social Service. Such an important organization! See the SASS site to learn how this nonprofit helps struggling people in the Saline Area School District by providing the aid, tools, and resources to help them improve their lives. You’ll also learn how you can support SASS by donating, sponsoring, volunteering, and hosting an event.

Descendants and enthusiasts of the Viennese composer, author, and teacher Richard Støhr (1874-1967) chose DesignHub to design and develop the new website commemorating Støhr’s life and work.

Støhr wrote seven symphonies, two operas, choral music, and numerous chamber and solo piano works. He also authored widely read textbooks on music. During his 50-year teaching career, Støhr’s students included Herbert von Karajan, Erich Leinsdorf, Rudolf Serkin, Samuel Barber, Leonard Bernstein, and Marlene Dietrich.

Forced in the 1930s to leave Austria by the Nazis, Støhr continued composing and teaching in the U.S. Sadly, though, his later compositions went unpublished and have been rarely performed. The new site, www.richardstoehr.com, is dedicated to introducing and championing Støhr’s works to modern performers and audiences.

DesignHub has written, designed, developed, and launched the new website for Dynamic Computer Corporation, an IT solutions prover headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

The new site has a responsive design, meaning that its presentation automatically adapts to the visitor’s access device, whether a desktop or laptop, tablet, or small phone. We developed the  site in WordPress, the popular open-source content management system. This lets Dynamic’s authorized personnel make day-to-day updates to the site’s content.

Dynamic helps medical device manufacturers manage the critical hardware and software components driving their diagnostic devices. The company also delivers IT and manages vendors for customers in the federal/defense and enterprise network markets. Dynamic has been in business since 1979. Their quality management system has earned ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485 certifications, and the company is GSA-listed.

Dynamic recently outsourced their marketing communications to DesignHub. So far – in addition to the new website – we’ve created presentations, direct marketing content, and sales collateral pieces for Dynamic. We’ve also advised the company on events marketing and targeted prospecting campaigns.

The City of Saline, Michigan has launched its new responsive website, designed and developed by DesignHub. By “responsive” we mean: The site’s presentation automatically adapts to the visitor’s access device, whether that’s a desktop or laptop computer, a tablet, or a smart phone. This optimizes every visitor’s experience with the site.

There’s a ton you can learn and do on the new City of Saline site. Pay bills, search job postings, consult the city’s calendar, find out what’s new and next … even take a video tour of the town. The site lets you easily identify and drill down on the content of most interest to you. You select by Residents, Business, Government, Visitors, or the Saline Rec Center. Check it all out at www.cityofsaline.org.

Do you know the Corner Health Center? Wonderful organization! The Corner delivers physical and mental health care to young people, ages 12 to 21, regardless of their income level or insurance status, from their beautiful, warm, and welcoming facility in downtown Ypsilanti. Youth also look to the Corner for health support and education. This well-loved nonprofit’s staff of doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, social workers, nutritionists, and health educators really delivers results for young people in need.

DesignHub has been pleased to provide the Corner with marketing and communications services for a few years now. We recently re-designed and re-launched the Corner’s website. The look is a bit edgier, the content is simpler and easier to navigate – and the site remains responsive. That is: Its presentation automatically optimizes to the visitor’s access device – whether a desktop or laptop, tablet, or smart phone. Check it out.
