DesignHub Creates Website for Huntington Woods Residential Development from The Shipman Company

SALINE, MI – DesignHub, Inc., a creative services and marketing firm based in Saline, MI, has built the website for Huntington Woods, a development of premium home sites within the City of Saline offered by The Shipman Company of Ann Arbor, MI.

The site, www.huntingtonwoodsofsaline.com, provides lot details, including photos and maps, for the Huntington Woods property, which is being developed in three phases on 85 acres off Macon Rd. on Saline’s southwest side. An online photo gallery shows highlights of the nature trail winding through the development.

Phase I of Huntington Woods is complete; 13 of its 34 lots remain available. Phase II comes next, with 31 home sites planned. Phase III will be developed on the west end of the subdivision.

Individual lots in Huntington Woods are a minimum of 1/2 acre in size. The property’s terrain is rolling hills, particularly in the proposed Phase II, with deep valleys and streams delineating the proposed Phase III. The development includes 33 acres of recreational land. Nature paths enhanced by flowers and evergreens wind through this area of Huntington Woods – all hardwood forest.

Huntington Woods touches the Saline River on the north side of the property. Streams running through the subdivision are tributaries of this river.

Homes built in Huntington Woods must be approved for architecture emphasizing natural materials, though vinyl siding may be used. Minimum size restrictions are 1,800 square feet for single-story homes, 2,200 square feet for 1-1/2 stories, and 2,400 square feet for two stories.

Huntington Woods residents enjoy Saline city services, including water, sewer, trash pickup, and fire protection. Roads and streetlights are private and maintained by the Huntington Woods Association.

The Shipman Company is one of Washtenaw County’s leading residential and commercial property development companies. David Shipman, the firm’s principal, has been active in the area’s business community for over 40 years. He has been vice chairman of the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce, and chairman of the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority. A former veterinarian, Shipman has also twice served as chairman if the Michigan Veterinary Medicine State Examining Board.

The Shipman Company purchased the land for Huntington Woods from Harold Mason, who had cultivated the acreage as a tree and farm nursery for over 50 years.
