SALINE, MI (February 13, 2008) – DesignHub, Inc., a Saline-based creative services and marketing firm, has designed and produced the 2008 Wholesale Gift Tile Catalog for Motawi Tileworks (www.motawi.com) of Ann Arbor, MI.

The 2008 catalog updates previous editions, also produced by DesignHub, with a refreshed design and details on new decorative tiles from Motawi Tileworks. These include the exclusive Frank Lloyd Wright Collection® (www.motawi.com/FLW/html/index.php) and tiles based on the designs of artist Yoshiko Yamamoto, whose works fuse Japanese design sensibility with fine craftsmanship.

The full-color, 20-page, 8-1/2” x 11” catalog highlights over 120 of Motawi’s most popular handmade art tiles, both framed and unframed, available for resale. The catalog includes notes on displaying Motawi tile, whether framed, hung on walls, or on stands.

The catalog’s design complements the Arts and Crafts aesthetic of the tiles themselves, whose designs are influenced by early 20th Century decorative artists such as Mary Chase Stratton, Adelaide Robineau, Louis Sullivan, C. F. Voysey, William DeMorgan, and Dard Hunter.

Motawi’s handcrafted tile is found in homes and public places nationwide. It is made by the sibling duo of Karim and Nawal Motawi and their staff of artisans in the company’s Ann Arbor studio. The Motawi team uses locally produced clay and glazes mixed onsite to the company’s own recipes.

Motawi Tileworks was founded in 1992. It today employs 25 people.

More information on Motawi Tileworks is available from the company at 170 Enterprise Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48103. Phone: 734/213-0017. Email: info@motawi.com.

SALINE, MI (February 4, 2008) – DesignHub, Inc., a creative services and marketing firm based in Saline, MI, has designed and developed a new website and printed marketing materials for Daycroft Montessori School of Ann Arbor, MI.

Visitors to the new website (www.daycroft.org) learn how Daycroft educates students from preschool through sixth grade in a personalized learning environment at the school’s preprimary and elementary school campuses. The site outlines Daycroft’s mission, values, and vision, and describes how the school blends the distinctive student-centered approach of Maria Montessori with traditional and progressive teaching methods.

Sections of the website entitled “The Daycroft Difference” and “The Montessori Design in Education” help parents determine if Daycroft will be a good fit for their children. There are also answers to frequently asked questions and a “true or false” quiz that tests prospective parents’ perceptions about the Daycroft educational experience.

The new site covers Daycroft’s curriculum at each level of learning: preschool, kindergarten, grades 1-2, grades 3-4, and grades 5-6. Daycroft specials – music, art, Spanish language, physical education, and more – are also described. Additionally, site visitors learn of special events and activities at Daycroft, enrichment programs, and services including before-school and after-school care, lunch, and summer camp.

Another area of the site details Daycroft’s admissions process, tuition and fees, and tuition assistance program. Site visitors can download the Daycroft student application form as a PDF file.

Elsewhere in the site are a brief history of the school, news releases, a school events calendar, and listings of the school’s faculty, administration, board of trustees, and supporters. The Daycroft Parent Guild is also highlighted.

DesignHub’s web development services for Daycroft included planning the new site, designing its graphical user interface, editing content, programming the site’s pages, and populating the pages with content.

DesignHub also worked with Daycroft to develop a custom folder and 16-page insert providing parents with much of information from the new website adapted for printed form. The folder and insert are built around the theme of “roots and wings.” They include tree imagery, and the multi-dimensional folder, printed on a richly textured paper stock, is held closed by a bird’s feather.

More information about Daycroft Montessori School is available from the administrative offices at the school’s elementary campus (grades K-6) at 1095 N. Zeeb Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48103. Phone: (734) 662-3335. Fax: (734) 662-3360.

Daycroft’s preprimary campus (preschool and kindergarten) is at 100 E. Oakbrook Dr., Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Phone: (734) 930-0333. Fax: (734) 930-0312.
